Osmo Oil.

What is it?

Osmo Oil is a hardwax oil that is based on natural vegetable oils and waxes. The oil penetrates the wood surface, protecting the wood from deep within whilst the wax components form an elastic, microprorous surface which protects the wood, whilst maintaining the natural feel of the wood.

Where I use it:

I tend to use Osmo Oil on my semi rustic pieces as it can be applied with a brush and left to soak into the grain, enriching the timbers natural appearance further.

Why I use it:

Osmo Oil is low VOC meaning there’s no smelly fumes when being applied. It’s an environmentally friendly tough finish, resists water and other common liquids, is easy to maintain and provides the timber with a lovely natural appearance and feel. Like Rubio Monocoat, Osmo won’t peel or flake over time like a film finish and can be reapplied easily, as, and when required.
